Macy’s 4th Of July Fireworks®
New York, NY – June 5, 2017 – The views of the big booms are set for July 4 covering over two miles of prime spots for the nation’s largest pyrotechnic display - the 41st Annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks®.
Macy’s annual Independence Day celebration will offer front row views for millions of New York City residents and Americans across the country. The show, beginning at approximately 9:25 p.m. will ignite the sky over the East River centered in midtown with a series of more than 60,000 effects.
Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks can be viewed from any area with an unobstructed view of the sky above the East River. The five barges stationed between East 24th Street and East 41st Street are best seen from:

The best way to attend the show is by public transportation via the Metropolitan Transit Authority. Due to the expected high volume of traffic, spectators are urged to leave their cars at home. Parking is not available in the viewing areas. Macy’s recommends a round trip fare with a Metrocard™ purchased in advance. Additional buses, subways and MTA trains will be available to and from the event. Bus service near the fireworks will be rerouted.
