Rowland’s Bar & Grill serves American gastropub cuisine in a comfortable, modern atmosphere on the One Below level at Macy’s Herald Square. Named for Rowland H. Macy, the storied founder of Macy’s, Rowland’s Bar & Grill builds upon his magnanimous character with intriguing bits of his life, quotes and favorite foods, like the signature cheddar-stuffed RH Burger. Also featuring classic NYC dishes like house-smoked pastrami, inventive salads, and simply grilled steaks and seafood, Rowland’s is the perfect gathering place when shopping New York’s most famous store.
Located on the One Below level in Macy’s Herald Square, Chef Street offers four unique, casual dining concepts, each featuring signature menu items served out of food truck-style trailers. Permanently parked on Chef Street, the food trucks serve up authentic Japanese ramen noodles, crispy chicken wings and sandwiches, traditional Italian street food, and classic American burgers, fries and milkshakes.
Made by Pauline Macarons & Tea is a one-of-a-kind shop providing a welcome respite for busy shoppers in the heart of Herald Square. Nestled in the fine jewelry section on the Main Floor of Macy’s Herald Square, Made by Pauline (named after the charming mispronunciation of “Polina” as “Pauline” by her French mother in-law) carries an assortment of 12-14 seasonally inspired flavors. The macarons contain no artificial flavorings and are GMO and gluten free. On a weekly basis, the husband and wife team behind Made by Pauline produce 10,000 – 15,000 macarons off-site and transport them to Macy’s each day, ensuring maximum freshness.
The Herald Square Café offers coffee, chocolates, and champagne, “the ultimate trifecta of indulgence.” The coffee selection includes Starbucks Reserve coffees and the chain’s popular espresso beverages. The chocolates are hand-crafted by a rotating collection of chocolatiers and the café features champagne offerings from Moët & Chandon. The airy, modern cafe also offers a food menu and a selection of red and white wines by the glass.
Pizza Bar New York offers pizza by the slice in the newly renovated Men’s store.
With sixth-floor views of the Empire State building and Broadway below, Stella 34 Trattoria is a modern Italian eatery and the dining star of Macy’s flagship store. The menu showcases al forno entrées, house-made pasta, fresh salads, “piccoli piatti” – signature Italian antipasti designed for sharing – and an all-Italian wine list of more than 100 selections. The restaurant also features a Cibi Ronda, an Italian take-away counter, where busy shoppers can pick up fresh salads, authentic paninis, focaccia bread, coffee and Italian treats. Stella 34 Trattoria is also the New York home to Italy’s finest gelateria, Vivoli, the first-ever location outside of Florence.
Located on the 6th Floor of Macy’s Herald Square, the state-of-the-art shop features exquisite displays including the largest chocolate case in North America where shoppers can create their own bespoke assortment of chocolates. This is the first North American location that features a large communal table, encouraging an exciting and shareable chocolate journey.
